Entry and stay in Romania

Citizens of states outside the EU/EEA areas need an entry visa into Romania.

Applications for any type of Romanian entry visas received from citizens originating from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Syrian Arab Republic and Republic of Cameroon must be accompanied by a medical certificate attesting that the applicant has received vaccination against viral poliomyelitis (also known as infantile paralysis).

In the context of the spread of the deadly Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF – also known as Ebola virus disease) in parts of West Africa, in the first half of 2014, foreign citizens who, during this time, have been present on the territories of the Republic of Guinea, the Republic of Liberia, the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Federal Republic of Nigeria are kindly requested to submit the applications for Romanian entry visas through E-Visa internet portal, available at . In case you do not have access to an internet connected device, in order to carry out this procedure, we kindly ask you to contact Romanian diplomatic missions or consular offices, which will communicate you the specific date when your application can be submitted in person. Nevertheless, we kindly ask you to take into consideration that the period for the visa application processing might be extended.
